Colleen Keetley is a finalist in the New Zealand Health Industry Awards.
Colleen received recognition for her work introducing ENAR and SCENAR into Australia and New Zealand, and for the publishing of a Chronic Pain and Disability university research ENAR trial with Enlightened Therapies P/L.

The New Zealand Charter of Health Practitioners hosted its awards in Auckland on October 11th and we are proud to announce that Colleen Keetley, who had been nominated by a number of SCENAR and ENAR practitioners in New Zealand, was one of the three finalists. Colleen was a finalist in the segment for the Advancement of Integrative and Natural Medicine. Colleen felt privileged firstly to be nominated, and then to become a finalist was a great honour. She said “It felt very satisfying to be recognized for the work of introducing ENAR and SCENAR into the West”.
Enlightened Therapies P/L under the guidance of Paul Keetley and Colleen pioneered the modern Scenar and ENAR training systems in place today including the ACHE Strategy by first working with the earlier Russian and English users of the SCENAR technology. The development of training resources continues to evolve as our experience and understanding develops and now Enlightened Therapies P/L work very closely with the Raetzel Strategy as this most recent method is proving to be much more time efficient and effective.
Paul and Colleen Keetley also recognized the need to provide solid scientific evidence to support SCENAR and ENAR’s acceptance in the west. To do this they facilitated a chronic neck pain and disability trial at Macquarie University in Sydney leading to the first published trial in the West on ENAR technology.
The Awards night was a grand affair with a well known TV personality, Petra Bagust as hostess. There was a charity auction raising funds for UNICEF with the NZ ambassador for UNICEF, Alison Mau speaking about UNICEF’s involvement in Papua New Guinea. There were a number of very well known local artists’ performing and to our surprise NZ MPs’ from each of the major political parties, and the Mayor, attended.
It is interesting to note how the NZ health industry has maintained its independence and become politically influential through strong political action as a united front. It does appear we need to operate now to provide a united front that has political power by combining under a large natural health umbrella such as “The Natural Health Care Alliance” rather than numerous small modality groups. It’s hard to imagine local MPs’ attending any Natural Therapy’s event in Australia. Australia’s Natural Health Industry as yet does not have this united voice.
